Shay Hummel

Shay Hummel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of data science and engineering. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Software Engineer at mPrest, focusing on the development of UAV control systems. Moving on, they joined the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology as a SE Teaching Assistant from 2010 to 2012. In 2013, they joined IBM as a Research Engineer, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they gained experience in algorithm development. From 2017 to 2018, Shay worked as the Head of Algorithm at Fornova. Following that, they joined BeeEye as a Senior Algorithm Engineer from 2018 to 2019. Shay then moved on to SparkBeyond, where they held several positions, including AI Research Engineer and Director of Knowledge Mining. Most recently, they joined CytoReason as the Director of Data Science in 2022. The breadth of Shay's work experience showcases their expertise in data science, algorithm development, and research engineering.

Shay Hummel completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer and Information Sciences at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2010. Following this, Shay pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer and Information Sciences, also at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, from 2010 to 2013.
