Director, FP&A Job Description

Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, FP&A will play a key role in steering Cytovale’s strategic direction and continued growth. The role will be responsible for overseeing strategic finance initiatives and leading Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) efforts to drive informed decision-making and support sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional financial acumen, strategic thinking, and strong leadership skills to navigate the dynamic landscape of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting: Evolve all aspects of strategic planning and forecasting to support operational efficiency and resource allocation in line with the Company’s long term strategic goals, including annual budgeting, rolling reforecasting, and long-range planning

  • Performance Metrics: Drive continued enhancement of all analytical processes, measurements, and models required to support deep ongoing tracking of KPIs across key facets of the business, and support ROI-based decision-making across the organization. Partner with the Business Intelligence team to provide key insights into performance and financial trends, linking leading indicators in current business drivers to future strategy

  • ROI-Driven Decision Making: Work cross-functionally with leaders across the organization to provide analytical support and financial rigor around key business decisions. This includes working closely with the GTM leadership on measuring and analyzing key funnel & performance metrics to improve visibility and forecasting

  • Efficiency: Drive continued improvement in margins and profitability by working across the organization to understand, quantify, and execute on initiatives to improve operating leverage & efficiency

  • Reporting & Presentations: Assist in the preparation of key internal and external stakeholder financial communication, including preparation of Board of Directors and investor presentations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, or management consulting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role; prior startup experience strongly preferred
  • Experience as operations business partner (manufacturing, supply chain) ideal
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and quantitative analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments, preferably within the medical device or diagnostics sector.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively, anticipate future challenges, and drive innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems - Infor Syteline, Excel, BI platforms).
  • Leadership qualities including integrity, resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to decision-making.
