Glen Thompson

Glen Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Glen is currently working as an Associate Director of Software Engineering at Cytovale since August 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Optiscan Biomedical for 8 years (2012-2020), where they held the role of Director of Software & Electrical Engineering / Firmware Engineer. At Optiscan, they were responsible for software design, development, documentation, and testing activities for medical devices. Glen also maintained and updated firmware/hardware subsystems.

Before Optiscan, Glen worked as an Embedded Firmware Contractor for a brief period in 2012. Prior to that, they worked for Herbst Lazar Bell, Inc for 11 years (2001-2012) as a Senior Embedded Software/Electrical Engineer. At Herbst Lazar Bell, they were involved in product development for various industries and was responsible for the design and development of embedded firmware.

Glen also has experience working as a Senior Software Engineer at NEC Technologies for 2 years (1999-2000) and as a Team Leader/Software Engineer at RMS Communications for 2 years (1997-1998). At NEC Technologies, they designed and developed communication interfaces for mobile phones. At RMS Communications, they worked on power line carrier communication systems.

Glen'searlier experience includes working as a Software Development Engineer at Sortex Ltd for 8 years (1989-1997). At Sortex, they developed firmware and microelectronics for real-time embedded control systems.

Glen Thompson attended Kingston University in London, England from 1984 to 1988. Glen obtained a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electronic Systems Engineering, specializing in Electronic Engineering.
