Roya Sheybani

Roya Sheybani has held various roles throughout their career. Roya started in 2008 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Biomedical Microsystems Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at USC. From 2009 to 2015, they gained teaching and mentorship experience at the University of Southern California, where they served as a Guest Lecturer, Viterbi Alumni Mentor, and Graduate Mentor. In 2010, they joined the Biomedical Microsystems Lab at USC as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on wireless drug delivery, microfluidic channels, and electrochemical sensors, among other projects. In 2015, they became a Hibbitt Engineering Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University. Roya then transitioned to roles at Cytovale, starting as a Senior Research Engineer in 2016 and progressing to Associate Director of Clinical Data Science and Director of Clinical Affairs & Clinical Science. Roya'swork at Cytovale involved clinical data analysis and clinical study oversight.

Roya Sheybani began their education journey at the University of Southern California in 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. Roya then pursued further studies at the same institution, earning a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2008 to 2009. Roya's passion for the field led their to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2015. After completing their PhD, they became a Hibbitt Engineering Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University School of Engineering from 2015 to 2016, further expanding their expertise in the engineering field.
