Roman Somol

Roman Somol has extensive experience in risk management, currently serving as the Managing Director of Enterprise Risk Management at Česká exportní banka since October 2014. In this role, Roman manages a team focused on market, liquidity, and operational risk management, as well as capital management and regulatory compliance. Previously, Roman held various positions in prominent financial institutions, including Operational Risk Manager at Wüstenrot Financial Group, Risk Manager at AXA Bank Europe, and Director of Risk Management and Compliance at Hypotecni banka. Roman's career began at Ceskoslovenska obchodni banka, where responsibilities included managing projects and reporting on market and liquidity risks. Roman holds an MBA in Finance from Alliance Manchester Business School and an engineering degree in Radioelectronics from Czech Technical University in Prague.
