D C PREPARATORY ACADEMY
Emma Bivona, Principal of Anacostia Middle Campus, is a DMV native and joined DC Prep in 2016. She has served as a second-grade ELA teacher at Benning Elementary Campus, ELA Department Chair at Anacostia Elementary Campus, and was the founding Assistant Principal of Academics at Anacostia Middle Campus. Prior to joining DC Prep, Emma completed Teach for America in Nashville where she taught second grade, was a founding Academic Dean for Achievement First, and was an Instructional Leader Fellow for Ingenuity Prep in Washington, D.C. Emma has received principal training from the Relay Graduate School of Education’s National Principals Academy. Emma attended the University of Maryland, College Park for her undergraduate degree and Lipscomb University for her graduate degree in education.
