Danita Johnson has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Danita is currently the President of Business Operations at D.C. United, a position they started in February 2021. Prior to that, they served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Los Angeles Sparks from January 2019 to December 2020.

Danita's earlier career includes roles with Monumental Sports & Entertainment, where they were the Director of Ticket Sales for the Washington Mystics, and with the Tulsa Shock (now Dallas Wings) in the WNBA, where they were the Senior Director and Director of Ticket Sales.

Danita also gained experience with the Phoenix Suns/Mercury as a Senior Account Executive in group sales and with The Bakersfield Jam as the Manager of Community Relations/Account Executive. Danita began their career as a Marketing and Community Relations Intern with the Fayetteville Patriots in the NBA Development League.

Throughout their career, Danita Johnson has demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in sales and marketing, and a passion for driving revenue and expanding business opportunities in the sports industry.

From 2001 to 2005, Danita Johnson attended Western Carolina University and graduated with a degree in Sports Management. Their field of study focused on Sport Management.
