Max Kanner

Max Kanner currently serves as a Fundamental Equities Associate at The D. E. Shaw Group, a position held since August 2022, after previously working as a Legal and Compliance Analyst. Kanner gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant in the University of Pennsylvania Political Science Department from August 2019 to May 2022 and completed internships at The D. E. Shaw Group, Verizon, and the Conservation Law Foundation, focusing on equity analysis, public policy, and strategic litigation. Additionally, Kanner contributed as a Debate Coach at St. Andrew's Episcopal School in New Orleans in the summer of 2018. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a High School Diploma from Isidore Newman School.
