Richard Landes

Richard Landes has over 28 years of work experience in the field of physical design engineering. Richard started their career in 1993 at Sun Microsystems as a Staff Engineer, where they were a key contributor to Sparc projects US I (spitfire), US II (blackbird), US III (cheetah), US IIIe (jalapeno), US IIIi (serrano), and US RK (rock). Richard then moved to InVisage Technologies Inc. in 2012 as a Senior Physical Design Lead and Staff Engineer, where they designed products for release into the consumer market with unique capabilities and nanotechnology features, and also served as CAD Manager. In 2011, they joined Intersil as a Staff DDA Engineer and in 2010 they were hired by Soft Machines Inc (SMI) as a Staff Physical Design Engineer. In 2015, they worked at Intel Corporation as a Physical Design Engineer Synthesis/APR and at Intelliswift Software Inc@Atmel Corporation as a Physical Design Engineer. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Innovative Logic Inc@Google as a Physical Design Engineer contractor at Google Platform Engineering, where they worked on advanced process nodes and complex high performance TPU and AI gChip designs. In 2021, they joined Synapse Design Inc. as a Senior Physical Design Engineer and in 2022 they moved to d-Matrix as a Senior Physical Design Engineer.

Richard Landes received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
