D-tect Systems
Jeff Thurgood serves as the Director of Manufacturing at D-tect Systems, a subsidiary of VPI Technology Group, since June 2021. In parallel, Jeff has held the position of Director of Manufacturing at VPI Technology Group since October 2016. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Product Design Engineer at Water Pik, Inc. from September 2014 to October 2016, where responsibilities involved driving R&D processes and leading product development. At Orbit Irrigation, from August 2012 to September 2014, Jeff managed product lines and oversaw the life-cycle of multiple irrigation products. Earlier roles at Juniper Systems included leading the Manufacturing Support Group and contributing as a mechanical engineer in R&D, achieving significant improvements in manufacturing throughput and cost reduction. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University, completed in 2007, and previously studied 3D modeling and design at the same institution from 1997 to 2001.
