Hung Nguyen

Hung Nguyen has notable work experience in the field of software engineering and CAD design. Hung started their career at PCAD in 1991, where they designed and developed new features for core modules of the PCAD software. Hung also worked on enhancing the PCAD Database Interchange Format and implementing a translation module for importing design databases.

After their time at PCAD, Hung joined HAL Computer Systems in 1996 as a CAD Engineer. In this role, they developed internal IC physical design tools and incorporated them into the physical design flow of HAL's SPARC microprocessor. Hung was also responsible for the RC extraction methodology of custom design blocks.

Hung then moved on to I-Cube in 1999 as a Software Engineer. Hung was responsible for all aspects of software development and support for the I-CUBE Digital CrossPoint Switching products. Hung designed and implemented software programming tools and developed PERL scripts for verification testing.

In 2002, Hung joined Cadence Design Systems as a PV Engineer. Hung designed and implemented test suites for the X-Architecture Physical Design tool, performed tests to evaluate tool performance, and developed customized test cases for R&D.

From 2006 to 2007, Hung worked at Mentor Graphics Corp. as a Software Engineer, where they implemented the detail power router of the AMS Floor-planning tool.

Hung then joined Tabula Inc. in 2007 as a Member Of Technical Staff. Hung was responsible for developing and executing test plans, verifying Tabula IP hard-blocks, and conducting final regression testing and package creation for software releases.

Most recently, Hung has been working at D2S Inc. since 2015 as a Member of Consulting Staff.

Hung Nguyen received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Hung studied at the university from 1984 to 1989. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University, attending from 1993 to 1998.
