Jim Chong

Jim Chong is an experienced firmware engineering professional with a diverse background in the development and management of embedded systems and firmware solutions. Currently serving as Firmware Engineering Lead at Daanaa since April 2024, Jim previously held the position of Senior Manager of Firmware Engineering at Generac Power Systems, where oversight of engineering processes for clean energy products was a key responsibility. Prior roles include Senior Firmware Engineer at Neurio Technology Inc., Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, Senior Firmware Engineer at MaxLinear, and Design Engineer at Tait Communications, where foundational skills in firmware development and project leadership were established. Jim holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
