Hilary Marchildon

Senior Copywriter at DAC

Hilary Marchildon is a senior copywriter at DAC. Prior to their current position, they served as editorial assistant at Totem from October 2010 to May 2012. In this role, they researched, wrote, edited, proofread and SEO-optimized custom content for several of The Home Depot USA’s online programs and communities, including Style Guide, Garden Club, Home Improver Club and Workshops. Hilary also participated in creative meetings and successfully brainstormed new content ideas.

In addition to their work at Totem, Hilary has also contributed to the 2012 issue of Lives Affected By Cancer magazine as well as Century 21’s At Home magazine. Hilary has also assisted in social media posting and community management for Corby Distilleries Limited.

Hilary Marchildon completed a certificate in business communications from the University of Toronto. Hilary then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Specialization in Media, Information & Technoculture from Western University, with a minor in Creative Writing. Hilary has also received certification from the UX Content Collective in Marketing Writing for UX Writers and Certified UX Writer.
