Martin Sommer

Martin Sommer has extensive experience in energy management and engineering, currently serving as the Department Head of Energy & Electrical Engineering and Teamlead for Energymanagement & Sustainability at DACHSER since October 2018. Responsibilities include developing and leading the energy management team, conducting nationwide energy procurement, and managing global green electricity initiatives. Prior to DACHSER, Martin Sommer worked at ZF Group from September 2016 to August 2018, where contributions included optimizing energy use in production facilities and developing standardized procedures for energy efficiency. Early career positions included roles at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG in process management and energy management. Martin Sommer holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energiewirtschaft from Fachhochschule Biberach, completed in 2018.
