Wendy Pierman Mitzel

Wendy Pierman Mitzel has a diverse work experience in various roles related to writing, content creation, and journalism.

Wendy currently works as a Senior Content Writer at Dahl Consulting, a position they started in February 2023. Prior to this, they gained significant experience as a Freelance Writer/Content Writer, offering PR services, digital content creation, copyediting, copywriting, and other communication needs. Wendy worked with clients in the insurance and legal fields and also served as a freelance reporter for the Hartford Business Journal and the Providence Business News.

Wendy was the Programming and Outreach Coordinator at the Town of Suffield from May 2017 to March 2022. During this time, they focused on program management and community outreach activities.

In their earlier career, Wendy worked as a Freelance Reporter for Reminder News from January 2014 to July 2016. Wendy also briefly worked as a candidate at The Creative Group in 2016.

Before entering freelance work, Wendy gained experience as a Reporter for Southwick Suffield News at Turley Publications from June 2009 to May 2011. Prior to that, they served as an Editor at Observer Eccentric and Hometown Newspapers from April 1998 to February 1999.

Wendy's career in journalism began as a Reporter/Layout and Design at Observer Eccentric and Hometown Newspapers. Wendy started in 1996 and continued until 1998.

Wendy also has experience as a blog co-manager at SolLit Magazine in 2015 and as a Freelance Writer for Patch.com at AOL from 2011 to 2013.

Wendy Pierman Mitzel completed their education with a high school diploma from Novi High School in 1991. Wendy then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Oakland University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Wendy later continued their academic journey at Lesley University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from 2014 to 2017.
