Itai M.

Itai M. is an experienced professional specializing in agricultural development and research, currently serving as Chief of Party for two USAID projects, the Resilience through Agriculture in South Sudan (RASS) Activity and the FtF Southern Africa Seed Trade Project at DAI since March 2018. Prior to this role, Itai held significant positions at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) from August 2011 to March 2018, including Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID-Funded Scaling Seeds and Technologies Partnership in Africa (SSTP) and Program Officer. Itai's career includes roles as a researcher in crop improvement at both the Agricultural Research Council-Grains Crops Institute and the University of KwaZulu-Natal as well as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Itai earned a PhD in Plant Breeding from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and holds an MSc in Crop Science and a BSc in Agriculture Hons from the University of Zimbabwe.
