Michael Flaschen

Michael Flaschen has a diverse work experience in various companies and industries. Michael is currently working as the SVP of Global External Innovation at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. Previously, they held the position of Head of HQ Transactions at Merck, where they led the headquarters transactions group for business development and licensing. Before that, they served as the Head of Asia Strategy and Business Development for Aduro Biotech and as the VP of Transactions at Johnson & Johnson's Asia-Pacific Innovation Center. Michael also led the Transactions Team at the J&J California Innovation Center. Earlier in their career, they worked at Amgen as an Executive Director of Strategy and Corporate Development and as a Senior Counsel. Michael began their career as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, specializing in technology and intellectual property transactions.

Michael Flaschen earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Tulane University from 1990 to 1993. Later, they pursued a JD degree in Law at New York University School of Law, completing it from 1994 to 1997.
