Richard Smith

Richard Smith, MBA, PMP, is an experienced clinical operations professional currently serving as Associate Director, Clinical Operations at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. since May 2019. Previously, Richard held the position of Project Director at Syneos Health Clinical Solutions, overseeing eight early phase oncology trials from March 2017 to May 2019. Prior roles include Associate Director, Clinical Trial Management at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where Richard managed clinical managers and CTAs for multiple oncology studies, and Associate Director Clinical Operations at IKARIA, Inc. Richard has extensive experience leading clinical trials, including a significant Global Phase 3 Breast Cancer trial at ImClone Systems. Richard's career also includes positions at Johnson and Johnson, TKL Research, Eyetech Pharmaceuticals, Eisai, and Protein Design Labs. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from the University of Connecticut and an MBA in Management from Montclair State University.
