Venky Mutyam

Venky Mutyam, Ph.D., currently serves as Associate Director of Clinical Development in Oncology at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. since December 2023. Previously, Venky held positions as Senior Clinical Scientist and Clinical Scientist in Oncology at Merck from July 2021 to November 2023, contributing to clinical data reviews and cross-functional protocol development. Venky's career in clinical research includes a tenure at UAB Medicine from 2013 to 2021 as a Clinical Scientist/Instructor and Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on Phase-IV clinical trials and innovative therapeutic strategies for Cystic Fibrosis. Venky's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology/Animal Physiology from the University of Dayton, a Graduate Certificate in Biotech Regulatory Affairs from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Bangalore University.
