Stacey Payne is the current Chief People Officer at Daily Harvest. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of People Operations at sweetgreen from July 2020 to October 2022. In this role, they oversaw people operations strategy and workforce management for the publicly traded fast-casual restaurant chain, including learning and organizational development, talent management/acquisition, DE&I, employee engagement/retention, performance management, and HR for over 5,000+ employees.

Stacey also spearhead workforce goals, ESG, risk, growth, and profit maximization. Additionally, they rearchitected talent structure and performance consistencies; modernized the right tools/systems, including a new ATS system, learning management system, employee intelligence system, performance management system, and engagement to optimize growth.

Payne is also responsible for reimagining and developing L&D strategy and capabilities, including unconscious bias and inclusion, continuous learning and growth, goal setting, and performance training for in-person and virtual learning. Stacey has also qualified people data, including hiring, decisions, and performance conversations; redesigned scorecards to sharpen talent forecasts to support the unique and diverse talent selection needs and scalability of a high-growth organization.

Stacey Payne received their Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University and their Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Chapman University. Stacey also has a certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in CPLP - Certified Professional in Learning and Performance and a certification from Chapman University in Organizational Development, Graduate Certificate.
