Laine Mitchell is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Alberta Editor and Writer for Daily Hive since July 2021. Prior to this role, Laine worked at CTV News Edmonton from September 2018 to June 2021 as an Editorial Assistant and gained foundational reporting skills at Jim Pattison Broadcast Group from March 2016 to September 2018 as a News Reporter for radio and online platforms. Responsibilities throughout these positions included on-air news and sports casting, writing articles, conducting interviews with political figures, covering breaking news, and managing social media content. Laine holds a diploma in Broadcast Journalism from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, earned between 2014 and 2016.
