The Daily Journal is published Monday through Thursday afternoons and Saturday morning. The weekday circulation is 20,000. The Saturday circulation is 24,000. The Daily Journal provides coverage of Kankakee, Will, Iroquois, Ford, Livingston and Grundy counties in Illinois.

The Daily Journal has won numerous awards for printing quality, advertising and editorial coverage.

In addition to the main facility in Kankakee, the Daily Journal has an office located inside Northfield Square Mall, in Bourbonnais, Ill.
