Nimmi Maghera-Rakhra has extensive experience in the field of sub-editing and writing. Nimmi began their career as a Graduate Trainee Sub-Editor at Daily Mail (Bristol Evening Post, PA) in 2006. Nimmi then worked as an Arts/Reviews Editor at London Student from 2004 to 2005.

In 2007, Nimmi joined Daily Mail as a Sub Editor (Features) and later became a Senior Sub Editor (Features) from 2008 to 2012. Nimmi also worked as a Senior Sub Editor (Features) at Daily Mail from 2007 to 2008.

Nimmi then moved on to News UK in 2013 and held the position of Senior Sub-Editor (Features) at The Sun until 2014. From 2014 to 2019, they served as the Deputy Chief Sub (Features) at The Sun, managing the editorial team and overseeing the entire editorial process. Nimmi had the responsibility of handling last-minute changes and meeting daily deadlines.

In 2019, Nimmi took on the role of Assistant Night Editor at The Sun and later joined Daily Mail in 2020, where they held the position of Assistant Chief Sub-Editor until 2022. Currently, they work as an Associate Chief Sub-Editor at Daily Mail.

Alongside their career, Nimmi has also worked as a Freelance Writer for various national daily and Sunday newspapers since 2005.

Nimmi Maghera-Rakhra completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Contemporary History at Queen Mary University of London from 2002 to 2005. Nimmi then went on to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) in Print Journalism (NCTJ accredited) at The University of Sheffield from 2005 to 2006.
