Leonardo MacIel

Leonardo Maciel has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the technology industry. Leonardo began their career in 1991 as a System Analyst at IBOPE, a Brazilian market research company. Leonardo developed graphical and statistical systems for TV audience plotting. From 1995 to 1998, Leonardo worked as a Programmer at MusicPen, Inc, where they developed multimedia software and co-designed entertainment titles. Leonardo then joined Sybase, Inc. in 1999 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they provided real-time internet banking solutions and led a development team. In 2001, they joined Scient, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they provided technical vision, mentored engineers, and developed front-end tiers for various projects. In 2002, Leonardo worked as a Software Engineer at Jovus, Inc. where they designed and developed middle-tier application servers for equity research documents. Finally, they joined Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc as an Information Technology Director in 2003, where they developed and implemented a Direct Market Access application that processes millions of orders a day.

Leonardo Maciel received a BS in Computer Engineering from Instituto Militar de Engenharia from 1986 to 1990. Leonardo later pursued an MS in Computer Science from New York University from 1994 to 1995. Leonardo also completed their high school education at CMRJ, although the specific dates are unknown.
