Alex Cheval is an Associate Partner with Dalberg Asia. He leads work with a focus on strategy, program design, and due diligence, primarily in the Energy, Infrastructure, Climate and Environment, and Education to Employment sectors. His clients include large corporations, international organizations, and donors .
Alex’s recent work with Dalberg includes designing a theory of change and investment portfolio strategy for a new foundation focused on entrepreneurship for a Fortune 500 client; piloting approaches to encourage private investments in humanitarian and fragile contexts with USAID; identifying approaches to redesign agricultural policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions globally; leading a due diligence on a leading solar home system provider; defining a climate strategy for a major Asia philanthropy; defining a climate strategy for a leading philanthropy, and; leading a market assessment of affordability gaps and clean energy financing needs in emerging economies.
Prior to Dalberg, Alex worked with Boston Consulting Group in New York as a Project Leader. Alex also worked with Credit Agricole CIB as a Vice President for Project Finance, Energy & Infrastructure.
Alex has a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International Affairs, and an MSc in Business Administration from HEC School of Management.
