Alexandra McCann

Alexandra McCann, CITP® FIBP®, is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in fostering innovation-driven entrepreneurship. As the Executive Director of ONSIDE since February 2019, Alexandra has spearheaded initiatives such as the MIT REAP Focus Nova Scotia program, enhancing inclusive innovation across five regions. Additionally, in the role of Mobilizer for Start Now Incubator, Alexandra focuses on designing hybrid business incubators for diverse women entrepreneurs in Canada. Contributions as a Distinguished Fellow at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Management further demonstrate a commitment to understanding and addressing barriers to an inclusive economy. Previously, Alexandra held leadership positions, including Chief Operations Officer at Dockside Investco and CEO of Baie Run Pet Products Inc., and has a solid background in trade finance and renewable energy initiatives through roles at the Export-Import Bank of the United States and various consulting ventures.
