Lu Yang

Lu Yang currently serves as an Instructor in the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University, a position held since August 2023. Concurrently, Lu also works as a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect at DeepSense since November 2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Backend Engineer - Cloud Solution at Juul Labs from December 2021 to November 2022, where management of High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems on Google Cloud Platform was a key responsibility. From July 2018 to December 2021, Lu was a Senior HPC Platform Specialist at DeepSense, overseeing the IBM HPC cluster and related technologies. Lu's earlier experience includes serving as an HPC System Administrator at the University of New Brunswick from September 2006 to July 2018. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick, a Master’s degree in Basic Mathematics from Henan University, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Chongqing University.
