Sara Filbee

Sara Filbee currently holds the position of Adjunct at Dalhousie University since August 2022 and serves as a Research Fellow at the Institute on Governance from January 2021 to the present. Previously, Filbee was a Public Servant in Residence at the Dalhousie University School of Public Administration from August 2020 to December 2023, and held various roles at Service Canada, including Regional ADM from March 2014 to January 2021. Filbee also served as ADM of Lands and Economic Development at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada from January 2009 to March 2014, and as Director General of both the Resources Processing Industries Branch and Manufacturing Industries Branch at Industry Canada from December 2004 to December 2008. Filbee's academic background includes a Doctor of Management with a focus on Complexity Management from the University of Hertfordshire, along with an MBA and LLB from Dalhousie University, and a BSc in Biology from Acadia University.
