Charlotte Decoster

Senior Director of Education at Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum

Charlotte Decoster has a diverse work experience spanning various educational and organizational roles. Charlotte began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Austin College in 2002, followed by positions as a Teaching Fellow and Teaching Assistant at the University of North Texas from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, they took on a role as a Conference Organizer and Undergraduate Conference Advisor at Phi Alpha Theta - Alpha Lamba Chapter, where they advised and prepared undergraduate students for regional conferences.

Decoster then transitioned to Decosterhorses, their own business, in 2004, where they bred and sold top reining horses, including multiple world champions. Charlotte successfully managed the business until December 2012.

In 2012, Decoster joined the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum as an Education Coordinator, and gradually worked their way up to become the Senior Director of Education. Their tenure at the museum included various roles such as Assistant Director of Education, Director of Education, and finally, Senior Director of Education. Charlotte played a critical role in developing and implementing educational programs related to Holocaust and human rights.

Charlotte then proceeded to earn their Master of Arts degree in History from the University of North Texas from 2004 to 2006. Finally, from 2007 to 2012, they pursued a Ph.D. in History with a specialization in Holocaust studies at the University of North Texas.
