Lillian Smith has a diverse work experience, primarily in the education and aquatics fields. Lillian started their career as a Swim Instructor at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas in 2012 and held various roles within the organization, including Swim Lesson Coordinator, Swim Team Coach, and Head Lifeguard. In 2019, they joined the Semones Family YMCA as an Aquatics Coordinator and later became the Associate Aquatics Director. Lillian also worked at the Dallas Independent School District, where they served as a Special Education Teacher Assistant and eventually became a Special Education Teacher, specializing in inclusion. In 2021, they joined Sunsational Swim School as a Swim Instructor. Throughout their career, Lillian has demonstrated strong instructional and leadership skills, ensuring the safety and development of their students.

Lillian Smith's education history begins in 2015, when they enrolled in Dallas College to pursue a degree in Journalism. Lillian completed their studies there in 2018. After that, they attended the University of North Texas from 2018 to 2019, and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government.

In terms of additional certifications, Lillian obtained several qualifications. Lillian became a certified Lifeguard and Lifeguard Instructor at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas in 2019. Lillian also earned a certification as a Swim Instructor from the same institution in 2018. In 2020, Lillian obtained the position of Educational Aide at the Texas Education Agency. In 2021, they obtained certifications as a Social Studies Teacher and Special Education Teacher through Texas Teachers. Lastly, they acquired their CPR/AED/First Aid certification from the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas in 2021.
