Jana Austin Ms

Jana Austin MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS, CES is a highly experienced athletic trainer currently serving as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Dallas Mavericks since September 2024. Prior to this role, Jana held similar positions with the New Orleans Pelicans from September 2020 to June 2024, and the Brooklyn Nets from July 2018 to September 2020. Early career experience includes assisting at the Santa Cruz Warriors and a seasonal internship with the LA Sparks WNBA. Additionally, Jana has contributed as a First Responder at the Drew Summer League and completed various internships in sports medicine and athletic training. Jana earned a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training from California Baptist University in 2017, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the same institution in 2014.
