Jennifer Phinney has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Jennifer currently serves as an Education Program Specialist - Dual Enrollment at the Georgia Department of Education. Prior to this role, they worked as the Director of School Support at Dalton Public Schools. Before that, they were the Principal at Morris Innovative High School. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Principal at both Whitfield County Career Academy and Rome High School.

Jennifer Phinney completed their Bachelor of Science in Education (BSEd) in English/Language Arts Teacher Education at The University of Georgia between 1986 and 1991. Jennifer then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction at Tusculum University from 1997 to 1999. Later, they obtained an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Kennesaw State University, completing it in 2005.
