Juan José (Joan) M.

Juan José (Joan) M. has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2018, they co-founded Damavis Studio, an innovative startup specializing in data management and advising companies on becoming data-driven. Prior to that, they worked as a Big Data Engineer at Bluekiri, where they were responsible for ingesting and managing a Data Lake using Spark, Scala, Python, SQL, MongoDB, and Kafka. Juan José (Joan) also served as the Head of Business Intelligence at Logitravel Group, where they maintained and managed a Data Warehouse using SQL Server, performed ETL processes with Pentaho Data Integration, and designed reports and dashboards with Qlikview. Before joining Logitravel Group, they worked as a Business Intelligence Junior Consultant at ÁlamoConsulting. Juan José (Joan) also gained experience as a Community Manager at Ens Públic de Radiotelevisió de les Illes Balears - IB3 and as a Web & Android App Developer at Càtedra Santander-UIB d’Innovació i Transferència del Coneixement, where they developed the Vespapp platform using Django, Docker, Gulp, and Android technologies.

Juan José (Joan) M. began their education in 2012, when they enrolled at Universitat de les Illes Balears to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering. Juan José (Joan) successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2017. In 2014, they participated in the Erasmus programme at UHasselt, focusing on the module of Human-Computer Interaction. Following their undergraduate studies, Juan José (Joan) M. furthered their education by enrolling in the Universitat de les Illes Balears to pursue a Master's degree in Big Data Analysis in Economics and Business. Juan José (Joan) completed this program in 2018.

Alongside their formal education, Juan José (Joan) M. obtained additional certifications to enhance their skills. In 2015, they obtained the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge. In 2018, they completed several Coursera courses, including "Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals," "Leveraging Unstructured Data with Cloud Dataproc on Google Cloud Platform," and "Convolutional Neural Networks, by Andrew Ng."
