Janae Bates

Janae Bates is a HIV Prevention Specialist at Damien Center. Janae has also worked as an HIV Prevention Specialist Intern at Aliveness Project NWI, where they provided specialized HIV prevention education to HIV prevention team and other community stake holders. Janae has also worked as a Sales Service Specialist at UnitedHealth Group and as a Leasing Professional at Pierce Education Properties.

Janae Bates has a Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education and Promotion from Ball State University. Janae also has certification from the Global Health eLearning Center in Family Planning and HIV Service Integration and in Designing HIV Prevention Programs for Key Populations. In addition, they are certified by the INSURANCE, MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF as an Insurance Agent, Accident, Health, Life.

Janae Bates reports to Dexter Etter, Director of Prevention. They work with Viviana Quinones-Fabre - LatinX HIV Prevention Program Manager, Andrea Rivera - LatinX HIV Prevention Program Care Navigator, and Stardust Adita - Harm Reduction Specialist.
