Christina Usher

Christina Usher is a Senior Science Writer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a position held since February 2022. Prior to this role, Christina served as Editor and Illustrator at The McCarroll Lab from March 2015 to February 2022, focusing on effectively communicating scientific discoveries through grant proposals, research papers, websites, and presentations. Christina also worked as a Freelance Editor from October 2014 to February 2022, assisting scientists in writing clear and engaging manuscripts and proposals, and as a Science Illustrator, creating diagrams and graphical abstracts to depict scientific concepts. Christina holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics and Genomics from Harvard University (2009-2015) and a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Florida (2006-2009).
