Jen Pinkowski is an experienced science journalist and editor with a diverse portfolio spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Science Writer/Editor at The Rockefeller University since September 2022, Pinkowski has been a science journalist for The New York Times since February 2006, reporting on scientific and environmental topics across approximately three dozen countries. Previous roles include Senior Science Editor at Mental Floss, Freelance Editor, and Communications Consultant, along with teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at Hunter College. Pinkowski holds a Master’s in Journalism from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Creative Writing, Literature, and Photography from Sarah Lawrence College. Notable subjects of coverage include information science, technology, privacy, and immigration.
