Eric Smith serves as the Director of Translational Research for Immune Effector Cell Therapies at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since July 2020. Previously, Eric held the role of Director of Translational Development at the Cellular Therapeutics Center within Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from July 2012 to July 2020, where Eric also functioned as an Assistant Member in the Center for Cellular Engineering and an Assistant Attending Physician for the Myeloma Service. Eric's medical training includes a fellowship in Medical Oncology at The Mount Sinai Hospital from July 2010 to June 2012 and a research residency in Internal Medicine. Eric earned an MD and PhD in Genetics and Genomic Sciences from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Economics from Muhlenberg College.
