Ethan Cerami, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the Knowledge Systems Group and Principal Scientist in the Department of Data Sciences at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute since February 2015, leading a team of 30 in developing software tools for cancer genomics research and precision medicine. Previously, Ethan was the Director of Computational Biology at Blueprint Medicines, where multiple bioinformatics platforms were developed for genomic data analysis, and was the Director of Cancer Informatics Development at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, contributing to the Cancer Genome Atlas Project and co-founding cBioPortal for Cancer Genomics. Ethan's early career included roles as Senior Software Engineer at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Director of Software Development at Office.com. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Computational Biology from Cornell University, a Master’s in Computer Science from New York University, and a Bachelor’s in History from Columbia University.
