Global Head Of Functional Safety at Dana

Ireri Ibarra has extensive work experience in the field of functional safety. Ireri is currently the Global Head of Functional Safety at Dana Incorporated since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Functional Safety at Dyson from September 2018 to January 2020. Ireri also worked as a Functional Safety Assessor at Volvo Cars from February 2016 to August 2018. Before that, they had various roles at HORIBA MIRA, including Chief Engineer of Functional Safety from September 2013 to February 2016 and Functional Safety Consultant from August 2011 to August 2013. Ireri had a role as a Senior Safety Consultant at RPS Group from August 2009 to August 2011. Ireri'searlier experiences include working as a Safety Engineer at Jaguar Cars from June 2008 to July 2009 and as a Systems Safety Researcher at Vetronics Research Centre from June 2007 to May 2008.

Ireri Ibarra obtained a BEng in Biomedical from UAM Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in the period from 1995 to 2002. Later, from 2003 to 2007, Ireri Ibarra pursued a PhD in Safety Engineering from the University of Sussex.
