Lead NVH Engineer at Dana

Matthew Shaw has a variety of work experience in engineering and research roles. Matthew is currently working as a Lead NVH Engineer at Dana Incorporated since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at Ford Motor Company from 2015 to 2022. Matthew also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Penn State University from 2011 to 2015, where they focused on data analysis, modeling, and lab management related to structural acoustics and fluid-structure interaction. Before that, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and Research Assistant at Brigham Young University from 2007 to 2011, where they conducted research on ultrasonics transmission and noise control. Matthew also has experience as a Spanish Teacher at the Missionary Training Center in Provo from 2006 to 2007.

Matthew Shaw earned a PhD in Acoustics from Penn State University from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an MS in Physics with an emphasis in Acoustics from Brigham Young University between 2009 and 2011. Matthew also received a BS in Physics from Brigham Young University, graduating between 2002 and 2009. Matthew Shaw completed their high school education at Middletown High School North from 1999 to 2002, and attended Thorne Middle School from 1997 to 1999. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer from National Instruments, which they obtained in August 2014.
