Caitlin Sims

Caitlin Sims is a seasoned editorial professional with extensive experience in the dance and arts journalism sector. Currently serving as Editor in Chief and Content Director at Dance Media Publications since August 2022, Caitlin previously held the position of Sr. Manager for Content and Editorial at San Francisco Ballet from October 2016 to June 2022. Earlier in a freelance capacity since 1995, Caitlin contributed articles to notable publications such as The New York Times, Dance Magazine, and Pointe, and also worked as a copy editor and copywriter for K-12 textbooks. Other significant roles include Editorial Director at Lifestyle Media from 1999 to 2006, where Caitlin directed content for dance publications, and News Editor and Young Dancer Editor at Dance Magazine from 1995 to 1999. Caitlin holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Stanford University.
