Julian Barnard

Julian Barnard is a seasoned professional in safety and security with extensive experience in various organizations. Currently serving as the Global Head of Safety and Security at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (DanChurchAid) since November 2020, Julian has held several advisory and leadership roles, including Global Safety and Security Adviser at Marie Stopes International and VSO, as well as Regional Head of Safety and Security for Asia and Europe at the Norwegian Refugee Council. Prior to these positions, Julian worked as an Independent Consultant and held significant roles at Adam Smith International, British Council, and the Department for International Development (DFID). Julian's career began in the British Army, where Julian served as an Army Officer from January 1991 to September 2009.
