Charlotte Thorsen has extensive experience in human resources (HR) and has held various senior HR positions throughout their career. Charlotte started their journey in 1995 as an HR Recruitment Consultant at Novia Handling, responsible for recruiting approximately 200 staff for ground handling positions. In 1998, they were promoted to Team Leader of Human Resources at the same company.
Thorsen then moved on to Philips Lighting in 2001, where they initially served as a Country HR Manager in a matrix setup, overseeing a small Danish HR team. Charlotte also worked as a Nordic HR Business Partner, driving organizational change and implementing a new mindset to shift the company's culture towards a market-driven sales culture. Thorsen was also responsible for talent management, including selecting profiles for the international Philips Talent Programme.
In 2012, Thorsen joined KMD, the largest Danish IT company, as an HR Business Partner. Charlotte supported the Operations Unit and served as a member of the Operation Management Team, providing guidance and support to the business director.
Thorsen then moved to Danske Bank in 2016, where they held various HR roles. Charlotte began as a Senior HR Business Partner, driving HR initiatives to support the Risk Strategy and establish a new leadership culture. Charlotte later became an HR Strategy Partner, working closely with top management within staff functions. Finally, they served as the First Vice President of HR, overseeing talent acquisition in Personal & Business Customers before taking on the role of Head of HR at Danica Pension, the second-largest pension provider in Denmark and a subsidiary of Danske Bank.
Throughout their career, Thorsen has demonstrated a strong ability to drive strategic HR agendas, lead organizational change, and provide sparring and advisory support to senior leaders.
Charlotte Thorsen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Roskilde University from 1999 to 2001. Charlotte also received a certification in Hogan Leadership Assessment, including team facilitation of senior leadership teams, from A&D Resources in 2017.
