Emily R. Sawyer

Emily R. Sawyer, CPA has a diverse work experience in finance and accounting. Emily most recently worked at Daniel Corporation as the Director of Finance starting in January 2023. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at Medical Properties Trust, Inc. where they held various roles including Financial Reporting Manager, Senior Accountant II - Financial Reporting, and Senior Accountant. Emily began their career at CohnReznick LLP as a Senior Audit Associate and later as an Audit Associate, where they gained experience in performing audits, providing guidance to new associates, and communicating with clients. Emily also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Alabama and started their professional journey as an Audit Intern at Reznick Group.

Emily R. Sawyer, CPA completed their education at two prestigious institutions. Starting in 2005, they attended The University of Alabama where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce & Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting in 2009. Afterward, they enrolled at the University of Alabama's Manderson Graduate School of Business, where they obtained their Master's degree in Accountancy in 2010.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Emily Sawyer obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in November 2011. This certification was granted by the state of Georgia.
