Tine Verner Karlsen has extensive experience in maritime archaeology and marine safety, currently serving as a Maritim sagsbehandler at Geodatastyrelsen since June 2021. Previously, Tine held the position of Curator for maritime archaeology and collection at Strandingsmuseum St George from April 2017 to May 2021, and worked as a maritime archaeologist and commercial diver at the Viking Ship Museum from October 2014 to March 2017. Tine also contributed to a fieldwork project at Slussen, Gamla Stan in Stockholm with Statens maritima museer. Earlier roles included co-instructing safety diving at Maersk Training and serving as a surf lifeguard with Københavns Kommune, where Tine actively participated in rescue operations. Tine's educational background includes multiple Master's degrees in Maritime Archaeology, History, and Peace & Conflict Research from recognized institutions in Denmark and Sweden, alongside a teaching qualification in History and Social Sciences.
