Mohammed Shamma is a seasoned professional in journalism and human rights advocacy, currently serving as the Country Representative and Policy Advisor at DIGNITY's Jordan office since January 2024. Shamma has been a Correspondent for Reporters Without Borders since April 2018, focusing on press freedom and media advocacy in Jordan. Previously, Shamma held the position of Chief Editorial Adviser for the QARIB programme at CFI from June 2021 to December 2023, overseeing content production and facilitating collaboration with local partners. Additionally, Shamma has experience as an HRMI Ambassador for Jordan, Chief of Content at Journalists for Human Rights from February 2015 to February 2021, and Freelance Correspondent for Legal Agenda from August 2016 to February 2019. Early career involvement includes roles as a Radio Producer and Online Journalist at AmmanNet and Balad Radio from 2002 to 2013, and as a Journalist for Al-Sijill magazine from 2008 to 2010. Shamma holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Petra.
