Louise Holck

Executive Director at Danish Institute for Human Rights

Louise Holck is a prominent leader in human rights, currently serving as Chair of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions since March 2024, and as a Board Member of Fugleværnsfonden since April 2022. With extensive experience as Executive Director of the Danish Institute for Human Rights since April 2012 and previous roles including Deputy Director, Louise has significantly contributed to the field. Additionally, since March 2016, Louise has held the position of Chairman and member of the board at DIGNITY - Danish Institute Against Torture. Prior roles include Director General at the Danish Consumer Agency from December 2003 to November 2008, Head of Communication at Danmarks Radio from August 2002 to December 2003, and Director of the Asylum Department at the Danish Refugee Council from June 1996 to August 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Copenhagen, an MPA from Copenhagen Business School, a Master's degree in Journalism from Danmarks Journalisthøjskole, and a board member education from CBS Executive Fonden.
