Mark Powell

Mark Powell is an experienced professional in disaster risk reduction and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programs, currently serving as an Anticipatory Actions Project Advisor and Delegate for Forecast Based Actions at the Danish Red Cross since October 2019. Previous roles include Proposal Development Consultant for Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen and significant experience at ACTION CONTRE LA FAIM and the International Rescue Committee, where Mark held various leadership positions in WASH and environmental health, managing projects in diverse settings such as Malawi, Nepal, and Zimbabwe. Mark holds an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Cape Town, an MSc in Water and Environmental Management from Loughborough University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Sustainable Development from Murdoch University.
