Jens Bindslev Agerholm

Jens Bindslev Agerholm has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Jens began their career as a Trainee in the International Economy and Relations Division at the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs, where they worked on projects related to fiscal policy and governance in the EU.

After that, Jens worked as an Economist at the Danish Nationalbank, where they were responsible for planning issuance strategies and analyzing market structures and liquidity in the Government Debt Management department. Jens also negotiated swap agreements and handled financial budgeting and accounting.

Jens then transitioned to the role of Adviser and later became a Portfolio Manager at the same organization. In these positions, they focused on government debt management, conducting auctions of government bonds and T-bills, and trading swaps and repos.

In 2015, Jens took on the role of Treasury Manager at the Danish Nationalbank, where they played a crucial role in monetary policy and government debt management. Jens co-led efforts to redesign and implement a new monetary policy framework.

In 2020, Jens was promoted to the position of Senior Treasury Manager, where they continued their work on monetary policy and government debt management strategy and operations. Jens has also recently been serving as the Principal Portfolio Manager, overseeing the management of FX reserves totaling approximately €80 billion. Jens'smain responsibility in this role is to redesign and build a new, modern investment approach.

Jens Bindslev Agerholm has a strong education background in economics. Jens received their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Copenhagen in 2009. Jens continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science degree in Economics in 2012. In 2010-2011, they also attended Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, focusing on an exchange program related to economics. In 2015, Jens Agerholm completed The ACI Dealing Certificate from ACI - The Financial Markets Association. These experiences indicate their commitment to developing expertise in the field of economics.
