Søren Truels Nielsen has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. Søren Truels started their career as a Student Assistent at the Ministry of Finance of Denmark from August 2007 to January 2010. Søren Truels then worked as an Intern at the Danish Delegation to OECD from February 2010 to July 2010. In October 2010, they joined Danmarks Nationalbank as a Student Assistent until February 2013. Søren Truels later became an Economist at the same organization from March 2013 to August 2014. From September 2014 to June 2020, they worked as an Economist and subsequently as an Advisor. In January 2021, they became the Head of Retail Payments and Data, and in January 2022, they led the Digitalization Task Force. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Secretariat for Financial Stability since February 2023.
Søren Truels Nielsen completed their education at the University of Copenhagen. From 2005 to 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Later, from 2010 to 2013, they pursued further education at the same institution and earned a Cand. Polit. degree in Economics. Additionally, Søren Truels Nielsen holds a certification in PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner from APMG International.
